Last week we discussed how you think we can best use our in-class time during the final eight weeks of the semester. Rory and I took all of your recommendations under consideration and created a second-half-of-the-semester syllabus that, we think, responds to pretty much all of your requests and helps advance us toward our goal of promoting both strong individual and group work. You’ll find both the original and the revised syllabi in the “Syllabus” section of this site.

Please note that I’ve revised the description of the “Individual Dossier” to reflect the fact that some of you are experimenting with new formats for collecting and organizing your research material. The original assignment description called for a linear-ishly organized notebook or scrapbook, which isn’t a format that will accommodate everyone’s work. I’d rather have you choose a format that suits your own work process and organizational methods.
