Check out this project being hosted by The Huffington Post. They have chosen a very unique way to map music in New York City. It is an open source mapping project where people upload pictures that are referenced by musicians in their songs or refer to a destination in New York City.

I think it is a very interesting way to view the city and pinpoint where and what artists are talking about in their music. It is very unique and interesting to be able to see this element of music accomplished using a map.
